Eezi-Awn’s K9 Roof Rack System takes expedition-style racks to the next level. Finished in matte black powder coat, this platform rack is a fully welded aluminum gear rack (not bolted). It is constructed of a narrow frame that can be configured in a number of ways for storing gear.

With a modular system outside, you can save space inside for shovels, axes, and jerry cans. Wind noise won’t bother you since this rack is equipped with semi-elliptical bottom cross braces to minimize it.

They also feature 5-1/8mm wide M8 T-Slot slats running front to back. This makes them easy to install and holds them firmly in place.Due to the platform’s 1-1/8″ thickness, your car will not be slowed down.

Capacity:

The capacity of the K9 roof rack system is broken into two measurements, static weight and dynamic weight.

Static is when the vehicle is stationary, or not in motion. Dynamic is when the vehicle is in motion.

On this particular Eezi-Awn roof rack a dynamic capacity in the range of 500 pounds is possible. That load included arooftop tentan awning, dual fuel can holder, aluminum storage case with recovery gear, shovel, axe, under mount table, light bar, etc on a 2.2M long rack.

A static capacity of 1000 pounds is possible. An example of static load increase would be adding people in the tent on the roof. Please understand these capacities are on vehicles that have modified suspensions designed to manage this amount of weight. They are not a warrantied or guaranteed capacity.

Mounting Options

This vehicle is also unique in that it has 2 mounting options. If your vehicle did not come with a factory roof rack track, you would choose our standard style rack which includes the Eezi-Awn K9 Mounting Rail to mount to the roof.

If your vehicle came with a factory track on the top, you can use our OEM Track Mount feet instead of the K9 Mounting Rail. The OEM Track Mount options are limited in length. If you prefer a longer rack option, you can install the standard versionon your vehicle.

Standard

The standard version of the rack system is the same as our traditional rack system on other vehicles. They incorporate the K9 Mounting Rail on the top of the roof, with feet attaching to the rail and the platform on top.

This rack is available in 1.4M through 2.2M lengths and three widths. The most common width for this model is 1250mm. Wider platforms can be chosen to suit your needs.

OEM Track

The OEM Track version of the rack systems mounts feet directly to the OEM track and the platform on top. This rack is available in several lengths and widths.
